Safety & Quality Control
A long year's tradition and firm experience of qualitative construction made Poldmir a leader in the Israeli construction market. Poldmir engages self-employed, highly qualified, and skilled manpower and uses the latest equipment and industrialized methods, supervised by highly qualified Project Managers. Poldmir is ISO 9002 certified and has the highest “unlimited” classification for construction from the Registrar of Contractors. Today Poldmir has well- developed Quality Control Department which employs high qualified engineers and provides non-compromising quality for current projects. It includes ongoing document control during the usage of special construction management software, conducting tests in cooperation with the Certified Laboratories.
The objective of Poldmir Construction (1986) ltd is to arouse strong safety awareness among all its workers, supervisors and subcontractors in order to make a safe working construction environment, including safety use of tools, machinery and equipment.
The strategy of our company is:
· Safety is regarded as a value
· Safety and Quality under unified roof
· Coaching rather than Policing
· We believe all accidents are preventable
Safety policy cannot be administered, implemented, monitored and enforced by one individual. The total objective of a safe and accident free work environment can only be accomplished by a concentrated effort of every individual involved in the project from management down to the last employee.
Each employee must understand the company's values; the costs of accidents, monetary, physically and emotionally; the objective of the safety policy and procedures; the safety rules that apply to the safety policy and procedures; and what their individual role is in administering, implementing, monitoring and complying to the safety policy and procedures.
This allows a more personal approach to achieve compliance through planning, training, understanding and cooperative effort, rather than by strict enforcement. If, for any reason, an unsafe act persists, strict enforcement will be implemented. We believe that creating an Injury Free environment, all goals are achievable. Having a Safety Agenda and a safety oriented mindset among all managers and participants in our project will assure success and completion of work on schedule and in budget's limits.
Every worker is responsible for continuously observing safety checks of the work environment, and enforcing the safety policy and procedures. Foremen are responsible to correct any unsafe acts or conditions immediately. It is the responsibility of the employee to understand the procedures and to follow the instructions of the foreman. It is also the responsibility of the employee to bring to management's attention any unsafe or hazardous conditions or acts that may cause injury to either themselves or any other employee. Any changes to this APP must be approved by Poldmir Construction (1986) ltd. Safety and Security Manager.
